All of the ingredients are blended in a food mixture for 15 minutes before it is ready to mix with the beans.
There are 465 beans on average in every can, which then gets cooked by a steamer in a sealed tin with the beans and sauce together.
This kills any bacteria inside the can, preserving the contents.
So in fact, baked beans are not baked at all, but steamed.
